Introduction to the principles of x-ray production. Includes matter and the atom, mass and energy; electricity, magnetism, and electromagnetism; x-ray tubes, x-ray generators, diagnostic x-ray systems, ALARA guidelines and practices, and the prime factors.

Information: This is a capstone course which includes review of program curriculum and instruction in applying to the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (AART) and the Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE). The course includes review sessions, written mock registry and multiple computerized exams.
